This is a deciduous native, British Honeysuckle (Lonicera periclymenum), and is distinguished by its pretty, wagon-wheel shaped, very fragrant Summer flowers (especially at night time), which are a white/cream to deep yellow colour and flower for a large part of the summer. Late summer marks the appearance of attractive, small red berries. Fast-growing, up to 60cm (2ft) a year of creeping twiners (branches), it will rapidly tangle itself around trellis, arches and fencing, growing up to 7m (23ft) in total. Ideal for planting amongst other hedges to add colour and fragrance
You can plant in full sun or partial shade in almost all soil types, including extremes of acidity and alkalinity. The book states to plant the roots in shade with the remainder in the sun but I would have thought anything covered in soil was about as shaded as you can get! I presume they mean the area around the roots is preferably shaded?
Honeysuckle will tolerate drought and frost down to minus 20 degrees centigrade. New leaves show in January and fall in November.
The flowers are both male and female and are self-fertile and the flowers have been used as an expectorant and laxative which is the posh way of saying it can make your body expel from top and literal bottom. It has a multitude of other alternative remedies too long to list on here.
Honeysuckle is also found in native hedgerows and woodland and is very good at attracting wildlife to it. Insects attracted to Lonicera Periclymenum are eaten by other wildlife such as birds and bats so expect increased visits from Blue Tits, Ladybirds, bats and lacewings. As it grows fairly densely it makes a good nesting habitat for birds.

Due to courier unpredictability, we advise having your trees delivered AT LEAST 3 days before you actually need them.
Returning Cell Grown Trees
For Phytosanitary reasons, cell grown trees cannot be returned to the nursery.
Delaying Planting Cell Grown Trees
If you cannot plant straight away, take the trees out of the packaging and stand upright next to each other in a sheltered location outside. November to March, no need to water unless they start to dry out and these would be ok for up to 6 weeks. During Spring and Summer, you can do this for up to 3 weeks.
Feeding Or Fertilizing
This is a task that can easily be over done. Any nitrogen based fertilizer will do such as 20:20:10 but the longer lasting ones which take 18/24 months are better as they are regulated by the weather and moisture therefore release slowly.
